The “Young Researchers” project has achieved its goal and is now officially active. Thanks to the support of many donors, a young researcher, Dr. Federica Rizzo, will be able to carry out new studies in the field of neurological diseases
The “Young Researchers” project is an initiative offering a three-year research contract for a young researcher in Neurology. The project focuses on the study of neuromuscular, neurodegenerative, and cerebrovascular diseases and takes place at the “Centro Dino Ferrari” of the University of Milan, in close collaboration with the IRCCS Fondazione Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico.
The aim is to promote translational research that combines the scientific investigation of disease mechanisms with the development of new therapies, while also providing an advanced training pathway to support the professional growth of the young researcher.

Etiopathogenetic research: Study of the causes and pathological mechanisms of disease using interdisciplinary approaches and advanced technologies.
Development of new therapies: Translation of research findings into clinical practice, in collaboration with clinical teams.
Training and professional growth: Activities in a highly qualified environment, fostering cross-disciplinary skills and international networking opportunities.
The project aims to deliver concrete results on multiple fronts:
New insights into disease mechanisms in the field of neurology.
Potential improvements in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the targeted diseases.
Training of young professionals capable of actively contributing to scientific and clinical innovation in neuroscience.
Budget: €150,000 over three years
