Association of the Friends of "Centro Dino Ferrari" » Events

The Association of the Friends of "Centro Dino Ferrari" supports and promotes "Centro Dino Ferrari's" scientific activity in different ways, including fund raising and promotion of benefit initiatives, everything made possible by the collaboration of generous benefactors.

Every year, the Association's organizing Committee organizes different events, always favorably welcome by the benefactors, whose number is constantly increasing.

We would like to remind exhibitions of Ferrari vintage cars, in the fascinating setting of patrician villas or castles made available
by the owners, golf competitions, the Gala organized in Los Angelesin collaboration with Muscular Dystrophy Association, and presided by Jerry Lewis, performances in the most famous theatres in Milan, and concerts at Teatro alla Scala, with the participation
of Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo.

And then, the assignation, during two pleasant evenings, of "Premio Enzo Ferrari", dedicated to our Founder, an award for personalities who have distinguished themselves worldwide in their own activities.

The first evening, at Villa Gallarati Scotti, near Milano, in June 2002, wanted to give a prize to Premio Nobel, Prof Rita Levi Montalcini, for everything she made and still makes for the scientific research.

The second one, at Palazzo Reale, in the centre of Milano, in June 2003, wanted to give a prize to Luciano Pavarotti, for his message
of humanity, love and professionality trhough his singularity in the operatic music.

The Association has also been able to involve credit institutions, and to make their Board of Directors aware of the activity at "Centro Dino Ferrari". As a result of their consistent donations to the Association, the purchase of otherwise unaffordable scientific equipments has been made possible. Also, several notary offices have accepted to make the Association known among customers who might be willing to make donations or legacies to the Association itself. This booklet is for us a nice opportunity to warmly thank all those generous benefactors who allowed, and still allow, "Centro Dino Ferrari" to be always updated in terms of both research equipment and scientific formation of medical doctors.

However, so much has still to be done and, in this regard, Association of the Friends of "Centro Dino Ferrari" needs being helped by those generous and sensitive benefactors who feel like being part of a noble achievement. Their contribution will allow Associazione Amici del "Centro Dino Ferrari" to keep fulfilling its beneficial aims in the future.
